The bunch of hazelnuts shells really gives it an interesting look, as if they grew that way on the stick.
I always saw rattles as stuff made with grains inside a closed container, I like this "open" version

Thank you! It's similar to the Native American style using deer hooves, or shells, or bells. I DO plan on doing the enclosed variety as well. What can I say I like things that make noise!
